Join us in Norris Point for the Trails Tales Tunes Festival

Norris Point is located on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

If you are travelling by car, Marine Atlantic provides a car ferry service across the Cabot Strait from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques.  The ferry crossing takes approximately 6 hours.  From the Port aux Basques ferry terminal, Deer Lake is located 250km along the Trans Canada Highway.  Deer Lake is 637km from St. John’s, the capital city of the province. Norris Point is approximately 75km from Deer Lake.

From Deer Lake take Rte 430 north.  Turn left off Rte 430 at the exit to the National Park Visitor’s Centre.  Proceed along this link road and follow the highway signs to Norris Point.

If you prefer air travel, Deer Lake Airport (YDF) is 75 km from Norris Point.  This airport is serviced by direct daily flights from Montreal, Toronto ( May to October), Halifax and St. John’s.  The following air carriers service Deer Lake:

You can take a bus to Deer Lake.  DRL bus service (1-888-263-1854) runs daily between Port-aux-Basques and St. John’s.  From Deer Lake local bus and taxi services include:
